CaribWorldNews, PHILADELPHIA, PA, Mon. Sept. 21, 2009: The founder of the Philly Caribbean Carnival is set to be laid to rest tomorrow.
The Trinidad-born Jerome Henry passed away on September 15th. Henry was part of the group that formed the Philadelphia Multi-Cultural Carnival Association in 1999 to bring carnival to the state of Pennsylvania. He was instrumental in organizing the first carnival parade in Philly in 2001.
A funeral service will be held for Henry at the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas, 6361 Lancaster Ave, Philadelphia PA from 10 a.m. tomorrow, Sept. 22.
A trust fund has been established for his young children in his honor. For more information contact 215-878-8420. Henry is survived by his beloved wife Adaora Henry, his daughters Sheree, Jennifer and Victoria and his only son Jeremy.
