Guyana Opposition Leader In U.S. Hospital


CaribWorldNews, NEW YORK, NY, Tues. April 28, 2009: Guyana’s Opposition Leader and head of the Peoples National Congress Reform, Robert Corbin, is undergoing treatment in a U.S. hospital.

Corbin, 61, was flown to the United States for further medical treatment, days after complaining of chest pains while driving on April 25th.

Corbin`s illness comes at a time when he faces challenges to his leadership of the party in the form of the former son-in-law of the late President Forbes Burnham, Richard Van West Charles.
