Former Haitian American Radio Personality Laid To Rest

CaribWorldNews, NEW YORK, NY, Mon. Sept. 21, 2009: A former radio personality at WLIB Radio was laid to rest over the weekend, just days after his death from colon cancer.

Stanley Barbot, 47, former WLIB Radio host of the `Moman Kreyol` (Moment Creole) radio show, was laid to rest on Saturday following a service in Cambria Heights, Queens.

Barbot died last Wednesday in his Laurelton home after a battle with cancer. The Haitian American was a strong proponent of his culture, not only on WLIB but also on Radio Haiti International and Radio Tropicale.

He is survived by his mother and three siblings.
