Barbadian National Charged With Reckless Driving


CaribWorldNews, NEW YORK, NY, Thurs. Nov. 19, 2010: A Barbadian national has been charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving in an accident that claimed the life of a New York City cop.

Michael Bowen was arrested after the fatal crash Monday. He was reportedly driving the wrong way when he rammed Officer Andre Menzies` car.

Menzies lived in North Babylon, L.I., with his wife, Natacha, and their two children. He died instantly.

Bowen, 50, of Brownsville, had a blood-alcohol level of 0.25 – more than three times the legal limit, authorities said. He suffered only minor injuries.
