Pakistani Ride Hailing Apps Enforce New Measure For The Safety Of Women

Pakistan’s largest ride-hailing app, Careem, has begun changing its training procedures to be safer and more inclusive for women, The New York Times reported Wednesday. The start-up aims to take part in slowly changing the way women go about their lives in the country. Pakistani women who work away from home are often restricted in the ways by which they can get to their jobs, said the report. The public transportation system suffers from frequent overcrowding and only three percent of households report to owning cars.
