AT&T Takes Out Full-Page Newspaper Adverts Urging Congress To Rewrite Net Neutrality Rules

After the Federal Communications Commission took action last year and voted to rescind laws governing the internet and protecting net neutrality, internet companies are asking Congress to write new laws to reverse the decision, Reuters reported Wednesday. In full-page newspaper advertisements, the report said, AT&T Chief Executive Randall Stephenson said Congress should “end the debate once and for all, by writing new laws that govern the internet and protect consumers,” reiterating a position the company has touted since the Trump administration said it planned to overturn the rules.
